Hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating, can manifest as excessive underarm sweating which can potentially present a socially awkward problem. The FDA has approved the use of Botox to treat primary axillary hyperhidrosis or severe underarm sweating. Such sweating may not respond well to conventional treatments such antiperspirants and oral medications but Botox may in fact help reduce the excess perspiration.
